Steampunk Chest of Drawers

For the Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2012 I decided to go with something a little different. This is my Steampunked Chest of Storage Drawers.

The whole thing is constructed out of Black Chipboard, The handle on the top is an Antique pull my husband found for me. The box is covered with embossed foil tape that has been alcohol inked.

The Flower on the top is foil covered  Grungpaper Gears, the gears have been embossed and alcohol inked, and Pen Nibs.
The right side of the box has More Foil covered Grunge paper gears and an old house number covered with paint.
 The back of the box
Left side of the box has an old drawer pull and trinkets held on with a Ideology swivel clasp.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look.

Tim Holtz May Tag

Tim Holtz May Tag

This is the card I made for the Tim Holtz May Tag.

I used an old pattern that I stamped to make the background as he showed us on his Blog.

The flowers were pre-made white, I sprayed them with ink then dipped them in UTEE.
Thank you for stopping by to take a look.

Copper Flower Cricut Box

I would like to share with you an altered art box that I made using an empty Cricut Cartridge Box (the old style).  The box is covered with an old book page, inked with Stormy Sky distress ink, and the edges were painted with gray acrylic paint. The flowers are cut from copper sheets using the Tim Holtz Tattered flower die, then heated with a torch to change the color. The flourish is also cut using a Tim Holtz Die, sprayed with black ink and then misted with copper Perfect Pearl. Thank you for looking and have a great day!

Steampunk Box

Today I would like to share with you a Steampunk Card Box that I made. First of all I would to say this was one of my favorite projects to make. I plan on using this box to organize and file my finished cards.

The Box came from Michael's and my husband was kind enough to cut the "lip" off for me. The box was painted with Gesso to cover up the original pattern. The top of the box is painted aluminum foil using a technique used by CapricornArtist73, you can watch his video on youtube if you are interested in learning the tecnique. I painted the whole box with acrylic paints- black, Venetion Gold, and Mint Green using a patina method. I then had lots of fun covering it with many little treasures, Tim Holtz Ideaology line, cuckoo clock parts, watch parts and Dusty Attic Chipboard.

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look at my craft,  I hope you enjoyed it.
